there are solutions not so expensive to manage jobs but in case you wish to proceed with custom&manual activities (and a lot of effort ), you can work with "find" and "grep" for windows against <sap_home_drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\<CLIENT>JOBLG log files

for example if you find a log with your job name, date, time and the code 564, you know that your job failed with log "Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE"
