Re: multiple saposcol running on one host
Manas,
To which minimum release should we update hostctrl?
I am asking this because we recently - let's say 3 months ago - updated hostctrl and still are coping with this issue.
Kind regards,
Marc
Re: ST02 analysis
Hello,
Have a look at the below link
http://www.sap-perf.ca/run-sap-st02-memory-monitor/
You will not also get the analysis of other t-codes like St06,St03 etc.

Re: PI Heap memory issue
Hi guys,
By applying Note 1173398 this solved my problem.
On short the solution will be:
If the problem occurs during a sapinst run (systemcopy for example), stop the sapinst, and edit control.xml.
Search for the line
var jloadHeap = "-Xmx1024m";
and replace it by
var jloadHeap = "-Xmx1540m";
Save control.xml.
Restart sapinst.
(It's not sufficient to just retry the phase, you have to restart the sapinst, otherwise control.xml isn't reread.)

Florin Radulea

Re: Using SAP WEBDISPATCHER with Proxy Reverse
Hi Isaias, thanks for your help and sorry for the delay.
We added the information, but only in https is running fine.
Our wishes is when access the url from http redirect to https.
Thanks

Re: Using SAP WEBDISPATCHER with Proxy Reverse
Hello Marcos,
The rule I've posted must do the trick:
icm/HTTP/redirect_0 = PREFIX=/, FROM=*, FROMPROT=http, PROT=https,
HOST=<hostname of Web Dispatcher>
I've performed several tests, and this rule works.
Can you please past your Web Dispatcher profile, and give an example of which URL you've accessed through HTTP, that didn't get redirected to HTTPS with the above rule in place? (note that you must replace "<hostname of Web Dispatcher>" for the actual hostname.
Regards,
Isaías

Where is my custom ajax framework theme in EP 7.3? Trying to turn off TLN
Hi portal gurus,
We are trying to customize the standard ajax framework and created a theme referring to doc
How to Customize your Ajax Framework Page with SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.30 http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-16315
We are trying to hide the top level navigation (TLN) as described on page 9; however, we are unable to find our theme's ajax framework page to set the properties Ajax Top-Level Navigation Visitble (unchecked). We can set this in the Standard portal users > Ajax Framework Page, but it affects all users.
Where should our custom theme properties be stored in the portal content management area?
Sincere thanks!

Error Install Solman 7.1
Hi friends
While Installing SAP Solution Manager 7.1 in MSCS Cluster (Two Nodes) with MS SQL 2012
I am getting error message on the step of Additional or Second MSCS node installation:

Re: Error Install Solman 7.1
Hello Leonardo,
Which OS user are you using during this step?

Re: Error Install Solman 7.1
Hi Leonardo,
This error is too generic to identify its cause. Please, attach the complete sapinst_dev.log file from the installation directory here to check it further.

Re: Error in step SUBMOD_SHD2_RUN/CONVBUFFER_AIMMRG_L2B_SHD
Hi,
This looks ok. Can you also login in the shadow instance and see if there are any dumps in there or jobs failed.
Can you please check that if you have the below files
<SUM>/abap/mem/TASKSUPGEXT.LST
If you have please follow the below note.
Note 1675008 - Data inconsistency after upgrade to BS7i2011
Please also paste the SAPup_troubleticket_logs.sar

Re: Error Install Solman 7.1
Hi,
Did you move the cluster group to the additional MSCS node before you install the primary application server instance on this node and Before you install the additional application server instance on the second MSCS node with SAPinst, you must move the cluster group on this MSCS node.
Thanks
Rishi Abrol
Re: Netweaver gateway and non-SAP legacy backend systems!!!
Hello All,
I have found the answers to my questions. I have shared my finding below. Hope it helps.
If you have a none SAP backend and there is a OData service from this backend, then NetWeaver Gateway can directly consume it as discussed in the below link:
External OData service - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_gateway20sp06/helpdata/en/a6/d52d733971414a9fdf6cf188dc9059/frameset.htm
If there is no OData service from the Non-SAP backend, we need to define a Backend Operation proxy (BOP) to consume the Web Service from the Non-SAP backend as discussed in the below link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_gateway20sp06/helpdata/en/64/472d8e21a342ba9d83e403ff4cd9db/frameset.htm

Re: Error Install Solman 7.1
Hi Rishi Abrol,
I already move the cluster group to the second node and repeat the install, but the same error persist..
Re: Using SAP WEBDISPATCHER with Proxy Reverse
Hello Isaias, thanks again for helping us.
Bu I don't know why for us is not running fine.
I configured the tip that you've sent,but when I type:
- http://mywebsite.domain/irj/portal it doens't redirect to https://mywebsite.domain/irj/portal
This redirect is our goal, because we hope to eliminate the Apache and use only the WEBDISPATCHER with logon balance and proxy_reverse, using redirects.
We continue trying to understand how the SAP WEBDISPATCHER run.
Thanks a lot.
Marcos
Re: Using SAP WEBDISPATCHER with Proxy Reverse
Hello Marcos,
The rule should look like:
icm/HTTP/redirect_0 = PREFIX=/, FROM=*, FROMPROT=http, PROT=https,
PORT=8443, HOST=mywebsite.domain
If you have different hostnames that you can use to reach the Web Dispatcher (like mywebsite.domain, anothersite.domain), and you want the redirects to be applied only for one of the hostnames, you can use the FOR option, like:
icm/HTTP/redirect_0 = PREFIX=/, FROM=*, FOR=mywebsite.domain:*,
FROMPROT=http, PROT=https,
PORT=8443, HOST=mywebsite.domain
Please refer to the following SAP Help webpage for the documentation of the redirect parameter:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp3/helpdata/en/48/3d993fb08c72d1e10000000a42189c/frameset.htm
I've already posted it in this thread, I'm posting it here, again, for your convenience.
Regards,
Isaías
Re: Error Install Solman 7.1
Hi Leonardo,
I will suggest you to go through installation guide once again... I think you are not starting sapinst with virtual hostname...
for more information refer sapinst use hostname command... ( actually I forgot exact command)
