There is one requirement, business need to use existing NW (Abap) 7.4 system (with GRC-Add ON) to copy some master data table from ECC system.
We have already NW - Abap system installed and requirement is to install ECC business component on top it so that it can ECC table can be copied here.
Need your help/expertise on how to achieve this ?
Found one documnet for special installation , but it mainly deal with NW portal.

Before or after a technical upgrade often additional application-specific steps need to be performed The application-specific upgrade toolbox collects and summarizes these activities Enables you to recognize the necessary steps and perform them in a controlled manner
Application-specific upgrade toolbox is integrated with the upgrade GUI through the ASU phase in the upgrade process For further details check SAP Note 1000009
One tool for all kinds of predefined tasks (reducing the upgrade time)
More transparent upgrades (avoid mistakes)
Avoidance of problems after the upgrade (problem message reduction)
Extension of the toolbox with own content or by adding news steps to delivered SAP content is possible

Hi all,
I've just installed NW702 on SLES 12 with MaxDB 7.9.08.23
Now I want to update the MaxDB to 7.9.08.34 with SDBSETUP via GUI (I know i can use the command line, but not for the global listener).
When I start SDBSETUP I get some Errors:
1) libpangox-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file...
Solution:
- ln -sf libpangoxft-1.0.so.0.3600.3 libpangox-1.0.so.0 (in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64)
2) libpng.so.3: cannot open shared object file...
Solution:
- Installation of libpng12 (64bit and 32bit) with yast
- ln -sf libpng12.so.0.50.0 libpng.so (in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64)
- ln -sf libpng12.so.0.50.0 libpng.so.3 (in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64)
(This problem I had in SLES11, too)
3) libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file...
Solution:
- Installation of libjpeg62 (64bit and 32bit) with yast
4) libtiff.so.3: cannot open shared object file...
Solution:
- ln -sf libtiff.so.5.2.2 libtiff.so (in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64)
- ln -sf libtiff.so.5.2.2 libtiff.so.3 (in /usr/lib and /usr/lib64)
Now it is running, but with many grafical errors. For example no radio buttons will be shown.
In the terminal where I startet it, there are errors:

Hi Thomas,
The issue is not with SDBSETUP but with your Xtheme (GTK2) try to patch it with lates rpm.
Simmilar issue is observeed in Ubuntu as well you refer the bug info and links as below:-

Or you can do X11 forwarding and use xming/VNCViwer to perform your activity.

Is the database started? Does the command "R3trans -d" return "000"?

If you have deleted the message manually then you can't retrieve it again. In case the message expiry had reached then SM02 -> GO TO -> ARCHIVED MESSAGES can show you the list.

We have issue in viewing work flow document content from SWBP for one user. User is not able to view the document content, where as he is able to see same from some other system with same GUI version and the patch level. Please let me know if some one had this experience before.

I have created my id in Amazon aws.amazon.com.
And I have installed SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.4 SPS02 on SAP MaxDB.
After a point it gives me an installation guide and in the guide it says
4.1 ABAP Client Software 4.1.1 SAP GUI
You need a SAP GUI 7.20 Patch level 9 or above.
For the Windows OS (32 bit and 64 bit) you can find the SAPGUI software package on the server at:

If you have access to the SAP Service Marketplace, then you can download the DVD presentation media, which contains SAPGUI 7.40. SAPGUI 7.30 should no longer be used.

And now I am able to log into the system.. Thank you.
What should I do once I am done using this system.
Can I just go https://cal.sap.com/console and terminate the instance.. will this stop my AWS usage and I won't be billed for the service ?

HI, How did you resolve this issue. I migrated my content server 6.20 from windows 2000 server maxdb7.5 to content server 6.5 windows 2012 maxdb7.9 and having this issue. Am able to attach new docs and also access them but can open any of the older docs. Kindly assist.
