Re: While trying to Bulild NW BPM, getting error

I got the same error.  It was previously building with no problems.  I changed one simple thing - and then started to get this error.

  I have fixed this by doing the following;

Export the Product to your C drive

Close down NWDS

Open up NWDS

Create a brand new workspace.

Import your Product

Build and Deploy it.

end user experience monitor and transaction NWP1 rusults in a dump

After installation of EHP7 we have problems with our SAP robots.

The transaction NWP1 (part of IS-H) results in a dump

          Category                 ABAP Programming Error

          Runtime Errors       MESSAGE_TYPE_X

          ABAP Program       SAPLN_WP_FRAMEWORK

Application Component IS-H-PM We upgraded the SAP Gui (7.40 sp5.1), upgraded EEM editor to 7.1014 and created lots of scripts, but the NWP1 still fires off a dump.

When we log in normally with the script user, the NWP1 transaction doesn’t get a dump. Also when starting the SAPGui in a normal way on the SAP robots, logging in with the specific user doesn’t result in a  MESSAGE_TYPE_X dump.

When we run the recorded script in a SAPGui , this also results in a normal operation. No MESSAGE_TYPE_X dump. But running the recorded script in the EEM editor or running the recorded script in the SAP robots via the solution manager, results in a MESSAGE_TYPE_X dump for the transaction NWP1.

All other transactions work fine, except DB13. But this transaction doesn’t result in a MESSAGE_TYPE_X dump but some other error.

What is the EEM editor or the solution manager doing different en how to solve this problem.

Hello Holger,

could you already clarify your question? Do you mean the transaction SM21? Which severity has the syslog message "transaction canceled 14 027"? In the syslog you cannot decide, which syslog message should be stored in the syslog, you can only filter the syslog messages. There is no possibility to suppress the syslog messages.

As far as I see in our test system in SE92 the syslog message "transaction canceled" has the syslog number D01 and has the severity "red with alert". This is why you see it with the selection "Only Messages with high importance". You could change the severity of the syslog message in SE92.

Hello Alwina,

May be your answer is a starting point... I meant the message 14 027 visible in SE91. "Somewhere" this gets translated for syslog to SE91 message D01. Is it possible to influence that "translation": In particular 14 027 should not fire a D01 syslog message, but don't touch all others...

Thanks and regards, Holger

Hello Holger,

the application decides, what they write into the syslog, you cannot influence it. The affected application should check their coding, if they can suppress the message 14 027. An example are the SAP notes:

2154981 - DP:Masses of R47 with error 061 in syslog
2128191 - Many syslog entries with key R47

where the kernel team has suggested a kernel patch and a parameter to suppress the syslog messages. What exactly do you see in the syslog? Do you see only the D01 message for the "transaction canceled"?

Hello Alwina, As the documentation of D01 states -- it comes always with a t100 message (Messages displayed/maintained in se91). As the notes mention too: The application decides. So I think the application needs to be changed. If the application ends by sending a MESSAGE Axxx I get the disturbing D01 messages in the syslog... In my eyes some of the error situations in the SD application do not qualify for a syslog message, but the developers at SAP obviously decided otherwise. In the end, it looks like nothing I can do about this. Thanks and regards, Holger

Dear SCN Experts,

We have a requirement to have a Live Dashboard to monitor SAP Applications in following areas

1) System Availability

2) Interfaces End to End Monitoring (Communication Channels/ Success and Failed/Scheduled Error Messages)

3) CPU/Memory Utilization

4) System Dialog Response Time

5) Additional Health Checks of Production systems

Could you suggest/propose any Third party products which can help us in having a Dashboard with above parameters?

Thanks,

NW Fiori cache buster not working when transporting change to quality NW 7.4 server !

$

In my Fiori project we have 3 Front-end NW systems:

  1. DEV NW 7.4
  2. QA NW 7.4
  3. Production NW 7.4

There is also a normal transport mechanism so any change assigned to transport and moved from DEV to QA then to Production.

The Fiori Project is 7 custom Fiori apps configured in Fiori launchpad, and the Launchpad URL Link can be accessed from the internet browser so there will be 3 Fiori Launchpad Links for each system:

  1. DEV Launchpad
  2. QA Launchpad
  3. Production Launchpad

I followed the following to activate the cache buster for Fiori in the 3  NW systems (DEV, QA, Production):

Cache Buster for SAP Fiori - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library

Whenever a deploy happen for new change to one of the custom developed Fiori apps with transport request into the DEV NW front-end server the change will show up in the app after closing the browser then open it again then refresh the launchpad link for DEV.

The Problem:

But once the transport has been moved to QA NW front-end and after running the following SE38 reports as mentioned in the post above:

/UI2/INVALIDATE_CLIENT_CACHES

2015-11-04 14_48_22-OTC_WPS3 - Desktop Viewer.png

and

/UI5/APP_INDEX_CALCULATE

2015-11-04 14_48_39-OTC_WPS3 - Desktop Viewer.png

the changes for the Fiori app will not show up in the browser for the QA launchpad link even if I closed and opened the browser 99999 time or even if I refresh 99999 time, no transported change will appear in QA link Fiori app.

The only way to see the transported change in the QA NW Front-end Fiori Launchpad link is when I clear the browser history (Or uninstall then reinstall chrome browser again) and clear the cache then the new change to the fiori app will appear in QA Fiori Launchpad link.

This is a very high critical problem currently in PRODUCTION because we can't tell the end users to delete and remove there browser cache and history every time a new change happen to one of the Fiori apps (every new transport to production NW server).

Is there any working solution that you have other than SAP solution from below link which is not working at all ?

Cache Buster for SAP Fiori - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library<- Cache buster is not working for QA and production

Web Dispatcher: masking/hiding external URL

$

Hi,

I am configuring our Web Dispatcher to redirect to external URL with below scenario:

Web Dispatcher URL: http://wd.mycompany.com/EXT

External URL: http://www.external.com/

The URL redirection is working fine -  accessing http://wd.mycompany.com/EXT will be redirected to http://www.external.com, but browser is now showing http://www.external.com instead of http://wd.mycompany.com/EXT.

I understand we can do masking/hiding SAP back-end URL.

My question: is it possible to mask/hide external URL using Web Dispatcher? How to do that?

Regards,

Hari

Thanks for your reply.

I did use Modification Actions:

#-----------------------------------------------------------------------

# Redirect to C4C

#-----------------------------------------------------------------------

if %{SERVER_PORT} = 9443 [and] if %{PATH} regimatch "/EXT"

begin

RegIRewriteUrl ^EXT(.*) /sap/c4c/odata/cust/v1/servicerequests$1

RegIRedirectUrl ^/sap/c4c/odata/cust/v1/servicerequests(.*) https://my123456.crm.ondemand.com/sap/c4c/odata/cust/v1/servicerequests$1

end

#-----------------------------------------------------------------------

# Redirect to local Gateway servers by port

#-----------------------------------------------------------------------

if %{SERVER_PORT} = 6443

SetHeader x-sap-webdisp-target-sid GWD [break]

if %{SERVER_PORT} = 7443

SetHeader x-sap-webdisp-target-sid GWQ [break]

if %{SERVER_PORT} = 8443

SetHeader x-sap-webdisp-target-sid GWP [break]

Test redirection to local SAP Gateway:

https://wd.mycompany.com:6443/<anypath> is redirected to GWD

In browser, URL remains as https://wd.mycompany.com:6443/<anypath>

Test redirection to C4C:

https://wd.mycompany.com:9443/EXT is redirected to https://my123456.crm.ondemand.com/sap/c4c/odata/cust/v1/servicerequests

In browser, URL shows https://my123456.crm.ondemand.com/sap/c4c/odata/cust/v1/servicerequests

I am expecting the URL remains using https://wd.mycompany.com:9443/

In Apache, proxyPassReverse can handle this but not exist in Web Dispatcher.

Therefore, I'm looking for any advice whether we can do this external URL masking/hiding with Web Dispatcher.

OSDB Migration Path for the Different SAP Technologies

Hi,

I would like to ask if there is a document that specifies clearly if a specific SAP technology has a migration path or needs to be reinstalled. Example is ECC can be migrated from platform windows to Linux, what about the other technologies? Thanks.

SAP Supplementation jobs - New tables automatically integrated ?

$

Dear SAP,

I do have a question regarding supplementation job.

SAP SID : P11

Source language : EN

Target language : FR

Action 01 - January 2015 (example)

1. I start SMLT t-code and I select all tables to be supplemented by EN for FR language.

SMLT - Select a language - Language - Special Actions - Supplementation (Expert).

I select all tables, except Class A(Application) and Cross-Client tables.

I get 11'550 tables.

I execute the job ==> table TLANSUP is updated ==> ACTID = 1200480604 (example)

Action 02 - February 2015 (example)

The monthly supplementation job run :

RSTLAN_SUPPLEMENT_PERIODIC which used FR100 job variant.

FR100 jos variant refers to ACTID = 1200480604.

Mode : Insert

Action 03 - March 2015 (example)

The monthly supplementation job run :

RSTLAN_SUPPLEMENT_PERIODIC which used FR100 job variant.

FR100 jos variant refers to ACTID = 1200480604.

Mode : Insert

Action 04 -  May 2015

We add 2 new sofware components and we had custom tables.

Altogether, we do have 250 tables which have SPRAS domain in their settings.

These 250 new tables and their SPRAS fields must be supplemented by EN for FR language.

Action 05 -  May 2015

At the end of May 2015 :

The monthly supplementation job run :

RSTLAN_SUPPLEMENT_PERIODIC which used FR100 job variant.

FR100 jos variant refers to ACTID = 1200480604.

ACTID = 1200480604 were generated in January 2015 without the 250 new tables.

Question :

RSTLAN_SUPPLEMENT_PERIODIC ABAP program is able to detect and supplement automatically the new 250 tables ?

Or do we have to re-generate, manually from SMLT t-code (ref : Action 01),  a new ACTID entry in table TLANSUP ?

The exact goal of ACTID filed used in RSTLAN_SUPPLEMENT_PERIODIC job variant in not clear.

Thanks

SAP SupplTeam

Hello Cacay,

I am not sure whether there is a document like you asked but you can go to Product Availability Matrix | SAP Support Portal (needs S user) and search your product and when the page opens check Operating Systems, Database Platforms under Technical Release Information tab.

You can see the list of supported platforms that you can migrate your product. There is details link under each item that gives SAP notes reference etc.

Here is a picture;

Hi,

if you want to keep the URL in client browser, you should NOT use URL redirect (RegIRedirectUrl).

in this case, why are you using RegIRedirectUrl ? just using RegIRewriteUrl is not OK ?

For example, like below:

#-----------------------------------------------------------------------

# Redirect to C4C

#-----------------------------------------------------------------------

if %{SERVER_PORT} = 9443 [and] if %{PATH} regimatch "/EXT"

begin

RegIRewriteUrl ^EXT(.*) https://my123456.crm.ondemand.com/sap/c4c/odata/cust/v1/servicerequests$1

end

Thanks and best regards,

Shi Feng

Hi,

I haven't done this but I think you don't have to change and the periodic job will automatically take care of 250 new tables that have joined in.

how about giving it a try.
