got error when installing SAP NetWeaver 7.0.3

An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 3 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: ABAP processes of instance NSP/DVEBMGS00 [ABAP: UNKNOWN] did not start after 10:00 minutes. Giving up.). You can now:

  • Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
  • Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
  • Stop the option and continue with it later.

Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW703/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL/.

 

this error happen when running phase number 20 from 23 (Running phase:start instance)

I solve this with these steps

 

 

 

The main problem is that you should increase your page file size which can be adjusted through your computer performans settings.

 

Just follow my informations:

1- Click right to My Computer

2- Properties->Advanced System Settings

3- in Performance sub-task -> Settings -> Advanced

4- in Virtual Memory sub-task -> Change page file size to minimum 10240 and maximum 20480 as can be seen in the picture below.

5- click set

6-Then click OK and restart your session.

 

in conclusion, problem solved.

Hi Peter,

 

No, it wasn't.

 

What we want is to include in our new custom application those libraries created as public parts in the /home/etxlib dc. This dc is then a dependency of crm/home/shr/ext that is a dependency of crm/isa/web/b2b and that in final is a dependency of our custom application created in cuscrmprj.


Can you please help us in this matter?

Since the custom application was developed for 7.0, first I would go through the migration wizard/process in NWDS.

I already downloaded the trial version..

However, SAP Login 730 doesn't take me automatically to the workbench what should I do?

Can I decommision solution manager and SLD?

Hi

 

In short: I wonder if I can decommision (delete) Solution Manager and SLD, if we do not need to do any upgrades on connected sap systems, as they are only old reference systems not used since 2009. We need to keep the two connected systems available until October 2024 and might have to move these two systems to new infrastructure vendor during this time.

 

More details:

 

We have moved all SAP systems to a different country, except three SAP systems, an old solution manager system with System Landscape Directory with two connected SAP reference systems not used since September 2009 that we need to keep accessible for 15 years according to laws in this country. All moved SAP systems is connected to a new Solution Manager system.

 

I have stopped the old Solution Manager, and I can still use the two connected systems. I have been asked to upgrade OS on solution manager server as it is running on windows server 2003 which is no longer supported by Microsoft. Instead I wonder if I can just decommision the system, but I am not sure if solution manger is needed in order to move the two old reference systems to new infrastructure vendor...

 

The versions of the 3 systems (if important):

Prod ERP system ABAP - 7.0 SR3 - SAP_BASIS 700 16, Oracle 11.2.0.3.0

Prod BI system ABAP+JAVA - 7.0 SR3 - SAP_BASIS 700 16, Oracle 11.2.0.3.0. SAP_BW 700 18

Solution Manager - SAP Netweaver 702, oracle 10.2

 

Is it safe to decommision solution manager or would I have trouble moving the two reference systems then?

Hello Cristiano,

Your user does not have access to the SAP ONE Support Launchpad.

You are currently signed-in with a P-User ID. The SAP ONE Support Launchpad only works with S-User IDs.

 

  • Log out of the SAP ONE Support Launchpad and log in with an S-User ID. If you continue to receive this message:
    • Close all instances of your browser, launch the SAP ONE Support Launchpad and log in with an S-User ID, or
    • Open a "Private Browsing" window (CTRL+SHIFT+P or CTRL+SHIFT+N depending on your browser) to access the SAP ONE Support Launchpad, signing in with an S-User ID.

If you do not have access to an S-User ID, please contact your company’s super-administrator or an SAP Local Support Center

 

 

how can I get S-User ID - is it free?

Hi,

 

I encountered same issue and it was caused by an bug when use an older version of SWPM.

It can be solved by use the newest version SWPM1.0 SP10 PL5.

How to deploy external libraries in NW 7.4 and NWDS 7.3

Hi,

 

We are upgrading our NW v7.0 to v7.4 and our eCommerce v7.02 to v7.32.

 

We want to deploy some external libraries but they are being deployed inside another jar and when we call our aplication we get the following error:

 

"java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError"

 

Our development infrastructure is the following:

 

home/extlib -> crm/home/shr/ext -> crm/isa/web/b2b -> home/our_custom_application

 

Can you please indicate us how to deploy this jar files with this new versions of NW and eCommerce?

B2B 997 acknowledgemnet should be sent back to same party

Hi Team,

 

 

 

We have an urgent issue with 997 acknowledgement, based upon ISA ID we

sending the 997 message back to the customer.In our case we are receiving

the orders from many party's. For few party's we have the same ISA

ID.It's difficult to identified the EDISep channel with same ISA ID from which party we

receive the order to send 997 back to the same party.

 

 

 

Is there any solution from which party we receive the order, 997 should

send back to the same party without maintain ISA ID in the EDISep channel.

 

 

 

Can you please help us how can we resolve this issue.

You need to contact your company system administrator. He or she should have an S-user, capable of accessing SAP notes.

Hi Ashutosh,

 

We want to deploy those external files in our custom application. This application has a depency to crm/isa/web/b2b that itself has a dependency to crm/home/shr/ext that finaly has a dependency to the development component home/extlib (where we have the jar files we want to export). We have been using the following tutorial but without success:

Hi Julia, sorry for the late reply. It is possible to get the information via the JMX interface. Once you have your connection set up you can do sth like this:

 

//define your Properties object "props" for your JMX connection and create an MBeanServerConnection

MBeanServerConnection mbsc = JmxConnectionFactory.getMBeanServerConnection(JmxConnectionFactory.PROTOCOL_ENGINE_P4, props);

//define your scope

ObjectName scope = new ObjectName("com.sap.default:*,j2eeType=SAP_MonitorPerNode,name=\"/Kernel/Licensing Manager/License Validity Period/J2EE-Engine_ORA\"");

//get the result from the query

Set results = mbsc.queryNames(scope, null);

 

Possible License types are:

 

J2EE-Engine_ORA

J2EE-Engine_ADA

J2EE-Engine_DB6

J2EE-Engine_SYB

J2EE-Engine-MSS

SAP NetWeaver CE Dependent on NetWeaver Version?

Hi All,

We are redesigning our Web Service Architecture, and needed to set up ESR. As, we don't have a PI system(HCI will come soon), We have to install NetWeaver CE to set up our ESR.

 

Now, we are in process to upgrade our NetWeaver from 7.0 to 7.5. Is this going to affect the installation of CE. Do we have to first do the NetWeaver Upgrade and then go for CE.

 

As we need ESR( To access SPROXY), can we proceed with the CE Installation and SPROXY Connection with ESR and later on continue with the Upgrade processes.

 

Additionally, can we set up SPROXY in any other way without PI system.

Based on the information provided. I would install  a single stack Process Orchestration (Netweaver 7.5 AS Java) for your ESR and BPM. If you are upgrading your ERP 6.0 to EHP6, EHP7, or EHP8, your hub system will need to at least run on 7.31. You can still use a dual stack if you want, but that is not the direction that SAP is heading. PO is the future.
